Monitoring Rate Changes
To maintain a stable yield, the APY offered by the protocol may occasionally be adjusted in response to major market shifts. We provide a transparent, on-chain mechanism for announcing and executing these changes, which includes a mandatory 7-day timelock to ensure partners have ample time to adapt.
We recommend that all integrators monitor the following smart contract events to stay informed of rate changes.
NewStableRateProposed
This event is emitted when a new stable rate has been proposed. It signals the start of the 7-day timelock period. You can use this event to proactively notify your users of an upcoming rate change.
- Event Signature:
NewStableRateProposed(uint256 newRateBips) newRateBips: The proposed new APY, expressed in basis points (e.g., 600 for 6.00%).
StableRateUpdated
This event is emitted after the 7-day timelock has passed and the new rate has been activated. All new deposits will receive the updated rate.
- Event Signature:
StableRateUpdated(uint256 newRateBips) newRateBips: The new active APY, expressed in basis points.
By listening for these two events, you can build a robust system for managing rate changes and keeping your users informed.
